We are celebrating the success stories of Walid Jailani and Maryam Qazikhani, who, despite facing numerous challenges as newcomers, graduated from San Juan Unified schools and gained admission to the University of California, Davis.🎓Their journies are not only a source of inspiration for newcomer students and families, but also for students within the district.🏫 📚

Excitement filled the chilly air on Dec. 8 as Mariemont Elementary School students, staff, families and community members broke ground on the school’s new modernization project.
